Maryland State Numismatic Association promotes and advances the knowledge of numismatics along educational, historic, and scientific lines. The organization acts as an umbrella organization to represent member clubs throughout the state of Maryland. MSNA has close ties with other state and regional numismatic organizations, and is a life member club of the American Numismatic Association.

The fourth speaker in the Maryland State Numismatic Association annual Distinguished Lecturer series will be Dr. Donald Kagin, one of the country’s leading numismatists and numismatic researchers. Don’s lecture, “Our Nation’s First Circulating Currency: The Treasury Notes of the War of 1812,” will be presented at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 29, 2012 in Room 301 of the Baltimore Convention Center during The Whitman Coin & Collectibles Expo.
